Feeling down...

Have been feeling very down tonight and have been crying a lot. I feel like I need so many changes in my life and it feels so overwhelming. I try and do positive things for myself (vegetable juices and green smoothies) and ran 3 miles today but I still get so down and sometimes don't know what to do.

  1. Do you have someone you can talk with (openly) about how you're feeling? Sounds simple but it can really help--as can just sitting down and writing a list of all the things you're grateful for. Watch a funny movie, so you can laugh. Do something nice for a stranger. Call your most uplifting friend or relative. Commit a couple of hours to just focusing on someone else.
Yikes! I know how you feel, so I'm trying to give you all the things that have worked for me, in hopes that one will strike a chord with you. You're already doing positive things, so don't give up! Create something with your hands. Draw/make a collage of all the wonderful things you have and want in life. Cry when you feel like it, and then follow it up with something wonderful, like a call to an old friend you've missed. Wishing you well!

  2. Everybody needs a good cry once in a while. Hopefully, everything is better today. Get some sunshine; that always makes me feel better. Let me know if you need to chat (via GITMR messaging, of course).

  5. Keep in mind, too, that being emotional is a detox symptom. If you have been drinking a lot of green smoothies and juices, you will be detoxing!!! Think of it as a good thing!!! [grin]
