Inspriring....

So as I am writing this I am on the Garam Marsala retreat that giveittomeraw is hosting! It is so amazing, everyone here has a wonderful positive energy and it is great to be around people who want to take care of themselves and have fun while doing it! Drhu, Phillip and Anthony are awesome leaders! They are so down to earth and such servants and truly care and want to help everyone on this raw journey. The food has been amazing as well. I have been taking LOTS of pictures and will post them when I get back into Atlanta.
I arrived in NY on Thursday afternoon at 12pm and rode the subway to Pure Food and Wine where I left my luggage. I ate at pure food and wine's takeaway and had a wonderful salad and a pint of vanilla ice cream w/ almond butter chocolate chunks. The BEST ice cream in the world. I went to the empire state building for the afternoon and just took pictures and then I met everyone that evening at pure food and wine for a delectable dinner! I had a ceaser salad b/c I was so full from the pint of ice cream and then people shared their dinners and I tasted the raw sushi which was so yummy! I went into the kitchen at pure food and wine and talked some with the chefs and took pictures of them. The head chef said that they have internships there and I am thinking about doing that in the future. That night we drove to the retreat and went to sleep. To be continued, sorry lunch time is coming up and phillip will be teaching us how to make raw sushi so I will continue the story later. One thing I will say is that last night here at the retreat Drhu and the gang had a pint of ice cream from pure food and wine for everyone on the retreat. So, last night we were all eating ice cream! yum!

  2. this is really cool, i like your page and how you are embracing your journey and remaining positive. i have been between 70-100% raw on and off for about 2 years and haven't yet blogged about it.. although i think that online support is the way to go since a lot of raw-foodists are far and few between (especially in Canada). anyways, i just want to say - don't let your passion die, you are making a difference.. it's so important to treat our bodies, spirits and minds with respect.. and it's so cool to see people here advocating for that. all the best and thanks again for sharing your experiences!
