Feeling better...
So, I wanted to say thank you to all of the people that gave me some encouragement on my last blog. Just wanted to report how things are going lately. Well, I really like it here. It is cool because there isn't a tv and nature is all around you spend a lot of time just spending time with people which has been good for me. Here at belly acres there are two guys that I have been spending a lot of time with( Tristen and Will). Tristen is from Australia and has traveled some of the world hitchhiking and took a 1,000 mile kayaking trip on his own for a couple of months. He is full of stories, quite a character. Will is just a sweet guy who always has a gigantic smile on his face and seems to be full of wonder about everything. I am so glad for them because otherwise things might be much lonelier. Anyways, they both play the guitar so they sit around and play and I listen and then we will all sing together and it is fun. It has actually inspired me to want to take some voice lessons. Meals are often times shared at the table accompanied with stories, laughter and joking. We have a woman named Kioni here who likes to be everyone's mom and tell us what to do and make sure that we are taking care of ourselves. Last night she made us a big vegetable soup with a big salad. Then there is a really cool couple, sean and christina and Sean always has all kinds of entertaining jokes and stories that he likes to tell us. There have been some other impactful people I have met here but for the most part I will remember these friends the most. I still have a couple of days left here and Tristen and Will and I want to go on some kind of adventure, but I am not sure what that is going to be yet. We were all going to go to Waipea Valley for a few days because it is supposed to be gorgeous but Tristen got a lot of cuts the other day climbing this giant coconut tree trying to show off. So, we will have to do something with less walking. Anyways, I will post some more pictures later. Today, is ecstatic dance and probably tons of people will go hang out at the beach afterwards. Then, tonight is the pot luck here at belly acres.
I sense a looooove connection! J/K :)

hi love! i've thought of you often and wondered how you were doing. . . just got over to read your posts and i must say- you're simply glowing. . . the warmth and lots of yoga and water sounds must agree with you! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm heading to San Francisco for much of the same for the next six months, although there will be lots and lots of hard work. . . there will also be mediation, yoga and Buddhist Theory classes (as much as i can fit into my days!!!) and it'll be WARMER than Maine for sure!!! ;) That alone is heaven to my ears.
We had a mini Garam Masala reunion this past weekend in New York, and danced the night away again at a club until 3ish in the morning. . . Gil and Jami, Dhru, Philip, Vanessa and I. . . along with many new faces and instant connections! We missed you. . . tons of love and hugs (so glad you feel better than the last post. . . that happens to me sometimes too. . . but the wave always reverses directions eventually!)
xx Jenny
