So, today my work assignment was to take the bark off of trees. We are going to use the wood to make a fence tomorrow. I am attaching some pictures of me taking the bark off of the trees. Then, after that Tristen and I (another volunteer) picked coconuts, papaya, avocados and oranges. We came back to the kitchen and made a big smoothie. Yummy. Then, we went to a yoga class and then down to the beach. Now I am just chilling and writing in my blog. Anyways, here are some pictures from today. Oh, by the way, this is for you too dad, just so you know, I am going to be coming back three days earlier, not because I don't like this place but because I have decided to do a yoga alliance certification program that starts april 12th and I have decided that it is really important for me to do that.
You have no idea how envious I am of you right now! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is in the smoothie you made? Looks delicious!
The smoothie is coconute milk, coconut meat, papaya, banana and some honey. I wish you were here!
ReplyDeleteDang, you're buff yo! Haha, j/p. I'm happy that you're enjoying the Islands; and am glad you got the chance to experience the authentic side of Hawaii! And not just the touristy areas. On one hand your experience and pictures makes me incredibly homesick :'-( but on the other; makes me happy, because it looks just as beautiful as I remember it. Soo, I guess you're forgiven. ;-D Take care, and enjoy the rest of your trip!
ReplyDeleteSide Note: Other fruits you should try (if their in season): Star fruit, Mountain Apple, Lychee, and pickled mango.. you can thank me later. ;-D
I have definitely toned up my arm muscles since I have been here. Arm wrestling anyone?
