Montreal and A Review of Crudessence Restaurant Part One

I am back from my trip to Montreal! I am sorry about the lack of posting while I was gone! The computer at the hostel I was staying at didn't allow me to upload my pictures and I don't like to post without pictures! As a reminder I went to Montreal to do an acro yoga teacher training. I am now certified to teach level one in acro yoga. I have to say Montreal is an amazing city! People are very active, walking every where, riding bicycles or roller blading. The city is supportive of those forms of transportation and some roads have lanes just for bicycles which I think is wonderful! It is a very social city and one thing I noticed is that I never saw people walking around with cell phones attached to their ears like I often see in Atlanta. I loved all of the street performances in Montreal, the parks filled with people doing slack line yoga, drum circles, capoietta, and acro yoga! It is a very creative city. My favorite places that I visited were Old Montreal and China Town! Old Montreal is beautiful filled with historical buildings, cobble stone sidewalks, beautiful restaurants, and statues. The last Saturday night I was in Montreal there was a firework competition (apparently every Saturday night a different country competes with a firework show). It was a half an hour of some of the most amazing fireworks I have ever seen and I watched it over the river. Very beautiful. I also enjoyed going to China Town! I have more pictures to come so stay tuned.
As for raw food in Montreal, I was able to eat mostly raw while I was there. I spent a good bit of my money at the grocery stores buying fruit, salads, and avocados! I also got to go to Crudessence the only raw food restaurant in Montreal. In the pictures above you can see the raw hamburger I got and the key lime pie (amazing and made from avocados)! I have more pictures that will be posted soon that show an awesome lasagna they make, savory crepes and a killer chocolate pie! I also took some pictures of the outside of the restaurant! Anyways, I am back from Montreal but this Sunday I leave to go to Mauii to work at the yoga center for a few months. I will make sure I am able to post often while I am there! Stay tune for more pictures from Montreal and for my adventure in Mauii teaching yoga and learning organic farming!

  2. I make it a point to go to Crudessence every time I'm in Montreal. It's the best restaurant I have ever been to. The lasagna and the pecan pie are my favorite dishes.

  3. Montreal restaurants are famous for delicious dishes and delicious vibes. Barroco restaurant in old Montreal sets as a good example for log time.
