Looking back on the year 2010 I must say it was a great year for me. Although it was a year filled with many challenges and some trying times, it was also a year of growth, transformation, healing, and joy. I began learning how to create more of the reality that I want for myself and found some amazing teachers and mentors to help me. I watched my yoga classes grow as more work opportunities came my way. I consistently studied acro yoga which challenged me in new ways but also gave me great joy and I got a chance to perform acro yoga on a stage in front of family and friends. To see my performance click here. I went to Montreal over the summer for an acro yoga teacher training and am now certified to teach level one acro yoga. Montreal was an amazing trip for me, taking a road trip to Canada with friends, exploring the city and tapping into new levels of creativity. I came back to Atlanta and then left for Maui for two months. In Maui I healed in so many ways, emotionally, physically, and in every way possible. I learned how important it is to have clean air and water and made some amazing friendships. In Maui I got to learn from people who have created amazing realities for themselves where they are thriving and very happy. Maui was most likely the highlight of my trip! While in Maui I was able to eat an abundance of the freshest raw food (bananas, coconuts, passion fruit, spinach leaves, etc) and was paid to prepare raw food for the first time! I met great friends and went on adventures camping, hiking to waterfalls, trips to craters, and the beach of course! I found a new peace and centeredness that I haven't had in years and have learned what I need in my life to create that for myself. Coming back to Atlanta was probably the most challenging part of my year of 2010. At first I had quite a hard time but realized I needed to change my living space and needed to find things in Atlanta that inspired me in Maui. Since being in Atlanta, I have realized that we have amazing hiking trails an hour north of the city with beautiful mountains and waterfalls and I have been doing this almost every weekend! Being in nature refreshes me and rejuvenates me a great deal so I make time to do this for myself :-). Ultimately I think I see myself moving from Atlanta to a place with a cleaner environment but for now I live in Atlanta and I am enjoying it for all it has to offer me, rather than wishing I was some place else (like I had a tendency to do in the past!).
For the new year:
1. I plan on taking more adventures (although I am not sure where they will be yet :-).
2. I have the intention of my yoga classes growing even more and becoming financially successful.
3. I want to try more raw food recipes from my recipe books and post them more often on my blog.
4. Continue taking improv theatre classes and I want to start performing more often with my troupe.
5. Take ballet and tap classes as well as one yoga class per week that challenges me.
6. Continue training in acro yoga with a possible performance here or there.
7. Learn how to invest my money so that my money can work for me :-).
8. Continue to grow and challenge myself.
9. Make time to do things that inspire me and challenge me to grow.
10. Get a nicer camera and work on taking nicer pictures to help my blog look more professional.
11. Buy an excalibur dehydrator so that I can experiment with more recipes.
