Raw Food Fast Food

As anyone who eats raw food may know getting fast food can be a problem. Of course I do live in Georgia and I know if I lived in other areas it may not be such an issue (such as New York or San Fransisco). For the most part I end up preparing most of my food to ensure it is organic (when possible) and fresh. I definitely welcome times when I don't have to chop up endless amounts of veggies and fruit to feed myself. One of my favorite places to get fast raw food is the Dekalb Farmer's Market in Atlanta. I know I have talked about this place in the past but this is where I buy most of my groceries for the week. It is about the size of Walmart and is filled with fresh produce from all over the world, including lots of organic produce at reasonable prices. I usually eat there once a week when I buy my groceries and this salad is my staple salad that I buy. This particular salad has organic mixed greens, sliced carrots, beets, raisins, sunflower seeds, walnuts, guacamole (freshly made), and some celery sticks. This salad cost about $3.50. To wash it down I had a freshly made vegetable juice, as you see there is a 50 % off sticker so this drink cost me $2.00. I was very happy with this meal and this is my favorite raw food fast food to purchase! It is simple, delicious and very satisfying!

In other news my boyfriends Birthday is this weekend. I plan on making a birthday cake for him so look for that post in the near future!
