Orange Apple
I had a gathering of a couple of friends on Saturday night for my bday and on the table I had a lot of fruit (watermelon, cherries, blueberries, rasberries, and strawberries). I made a fruit punch with freshly squeezed orange juice, pineapple juice and a little fresh lemon. That was popular and was gone by the end of the night. I also made a raw cheese cake. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of my raw cheese cake but it was sooooo easy to make! Nobody really thought it tasted like cheese cake but everyone liked it and said it was good and it was all gone by the end of the night! I found a very easy way to make the crust too, I put my soaked almonds into the omega juicer (the nut butter setting) and then the dates into it as well. I got a nice dough consistancy and I mixed it together with some sea salt and vanilla and then spread it on the bottom of the pie pan. Then, the "cheesecake" filling was soaked cashews, lemon, vanilla, and agave nectar mixed up in the vita mixer for a smooth consistancy. I think if I added some more sweetner to it it might have tasted more like cheese cake. My friends that came were not raw foodists so I warned them that I was not going to have dinner and to eat before hand. So, the food went off well and all of it was gone by eleven o'clock. Again, so sad I did not have my camera to take pictures of the food but will try and post more pictures in the future!
