Raw in Greece...

Well, i have not done the greatest job at keeping this raw food blog updated. i have currently been in Greece for the past two weeks and will be here another two weeks. It is a beautiful country but not as tropical as i imagined it would be. I have not been eating totally raw while in Greece, i have been eating strictly vegan, which is not too hard since every meal usually has fruit and some type of salad or vegetable dish. However, for my last two weeks here in Greece I would like to eat 100% raw but am having trouble doing this, right now I am eating like 85% raw. Every morning the hotel I am staying at serves fresh squeezed orange juice along with a wide selection of fruit. So, I have been drinking literally like six glasses of freshly squeezed oj every morning, along with slices of tomatoes and olives (by the way, the olives here are quite good). Then, I will usually have two kiwis. I have not told the group i am here with that I am a raw vegan, they are amazed enough when I tell them that i am a vegan and i can't tell you how many conversations i have had explaining why i am a vegan, etc. There is a girl on the study abroad trip who is a vegetarian so it is nice to have her here because we are kind of on the same page. The watermelon here is very cheap, I can usually buy an entire watermelon for like two euros, which would be like three or four american dollars.

So, my goal for the rest of the trip is to be 100% raw vegan, please wish me luck, it has been hard to do this but I like the way I look when i eat 100 % raw, there is such a big difference in my complexion and my hair and my body, I can tell I look so much better when eating 100 % raw, so any support I can get would be incredible. I am using an internet cafe so I have not been able to post pictures lately of my trip. I will post pictures when I get back to Atlanta.
