So, I only ended up volunteering like five hours of my time at the cousin's raw food restaurant. I spent most of my time sightseeing. I met some cool vegans that I hung out with and some other really cool people. I talked with the staff at Karyn's and they mentioned how they enjoyed meeting Dhrumil and that he came in and talked with them and everything. Chicago is the friendliest city. I mean even the bus drivers are insanely nice and friendly. So, anyway, I ended up going to a lot of vegan restaurants too like Karyn's cooked and the Chicago Diner. Here are some more random pictures. Also, a quick shout out to Dana and Renato who were so kind to let me stay with them! By the way the cheesecake choclate dessert is not raw it is vegan. However, all the other pictures of food are raw.
Hi, April! I typed your name in on the Yahoo search engine on a whim hoping I could find your e-mail address some place on the Internet, and I came across your blog. How neat! I've enjoyed reading your entries. Looks like you had a fabulous time in Chicago. Anyhoo, I will be in touch with you about you coming to my school to visit/ observe. Long story made VERY short -- I MAY be at another school next year! Also, I mentioned to Cindy that you are interested in teaching on a provisional license; she may have answers for you on what you need to do to get started. Hope to hear from you soon! ~April Smith :)
