So, ever since I came back from Chicago I have been pretty sick. Soar throat, coughing all night long, couldn't talk for a few days! What is the deal! Aren't I supposed to be invincible to getting sick? I haven't gotten this sick in such a LONG time! I have been drinking lots of veggie juice, hot tea and home made veggie soup. I am finally feeling a little bit better today but am still coughing and my throat is soar. When I went to Chicago I didn't drink any veggie juice at all or eat many veggies for that matter. I also ate a lot of vegan junk food (I will do it occasionally here but not like I did in Chicago). Maybe my immune system was down and then I caught something on the plane or something? Anyways, guess I am not invincible to getting sick :-(.
I am feeling better today. I will try and rest and drink a lot. My dad is going blueberry picking later on today and I think I may join him. Pick one gallon of blueberries for like six bucks. Yeah baby! I am in love with blueberries! Love those antioxidants and sweet taste! Hope I get better soon!
Hi, April! The blueberries sound so yummy!
ReplyDeleteI asked my teacher-friend Cal about how he taught with a provisional license, and this is what he shared with me: "If you have a bachelor's degree and over 1000 on the SAT, you can take the GACE (which is the test for teacher certification). After receiving a passing score on the GACE, you have to apply for a provisional license through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (www.gapsc.com). The GAPSC will issue you a provisional license for a term of 5 years. In order to apply for a renewel license, you have to complete a program (such as a master's in Education) within the 5 year period."
I think you should check it out, April! I think you would be a wonderful teacher. I mentioned to Cindy that you might be interested in teaching, and she agrees with me that you would be FANTASTIC!
Keep in touch ... and FEEL BETTER SOON! :)
April :)
