Cucumber salad...

I made this as one of the side dishes for christmas. I made noodles out of cucumbers with one of my peelers that I got for christmas. It is an awesome peeler that makes these cute noodle shapes. This salad was delicious, very light, simple and flavorful. I used three cucumbers, one green bell pepper, and three ears of corn, some sea salt and pepper. I also got a digital camera, some awesome plates, slippers that heat and massage your feet, and some cool kitchen gadgets. Now I am exhausted hope you all had a great christmas. Oh, I also made a green bean casserole, it wasn't quite as good as the one I made for thanksgiving but everyone seemed to like it and I made the apple crisp, that was good and everyone enjoyed that as well. Good night:)

  1. Your salad looks so refreshing and yummy! I'll have to try it.

The other day, I went to the grocery store to buy the ingredients needed to make your green bean casserole. I went online before making it and read about a woman on GoneRaw.com who had raw green beans and said she experienced severe abdominal pain and vomiting. Other members of the site reported the same thing while others said they felt fine after eating the green beans raw. What do you think? I know I had a similar reaction to eating raw asparagus but maybe that's different. Now I'm a little sceptical about making your casserole only because I'm a little sensitive to certain foods eaten raw.

  2. The cucumber salad is very good. As far as the green bean casserole, I didn't have any problems I am aware of from eating the green beans raw. I know everybody is different though. However, I know this cucumber salad is super good and won't make you sick:) Good luck with your decision and hope you had a merry christmas!
