30th Day 100% Raw! I Made It! And A Raw Pizza Party!
Yay! I made it for 30 days! Now I can go to McDonald's tomorrow! Just kidding :-). Got you didn't I? So, to celebrate eating 100% raw for 30 days my friend Marie-Lies hosted a party for me at her place! It was a pizza party! I made three pizzas, cucumber carrot salad, and a fruit pizza for dessert! It was only a small gathering since it was a last minute plan and it was a mixture of improv acting friends with acro and raw foodie friends! So after we ate we played improv games and then played acro! It was fun to get together and have a good time with rockstar people. So, everyone was asking me if I am planning on staying with 100% raw and the answer is yes I am. I am enjoying what I am eating and have noticed some good changes in my body. When I stay away from too many nuts my face gets really clear and sorry guys but my period is 50% lighter this month than normal which is nice for me as well. I can tell my body functions better eating this way and so I am going to stick with 100% raw:-).
So onto the food! Okay, so last night I started making my pizzas since they have to be in the dehydrator so long! I also decided to experiment! Warning experimenting with raw foods is good but not when you are making the food for a party the next day! Then, maybe stick with what you know works. So, I decided since I am trying low nuts that I would do half the pizzas with my regular cashew cheeze and the other half with avocado as the cheeze. Well, first off, avocado turns black after being dehydrated so the next day two of my pizzas have a black cheeze on them. Another experiment I tried was with the marinara sauce. I tried making it with only fresh tomatoes rather than combining fresh tomatoes with sun dried tomatoes. Not a good idea, the sundried ones really make that yummy marinara pizza taste that I want. So, I ended up making a marinara sauce this morning and put it on top of three of the pizzas just to add the yummy taste. This helped to save the day because tonight everyone liked the pizzas with the extra marinara on top more so than the one pizza that didn't have it. I also made a fruit pizza which was simple and yummy and went a long with the pizza theme. I will tell you that the fruit pizza did not last for long! All my friends were asking me when the next raw food party will be. Maybe I will have another one at 60 days! I ended up not making the chocolate cake honestly because buying raw chocolate just was too expensive after buying my other ingredients for the night. I still want to make Ani Phyo's chocolate raspberry cake though so I will in the near future! Thanks to all of you for your wonderful support during my 30 days!
*Side note: I watched the movie Leap Year today and loved it! A very funny and cute romance with a very hot Irish guy! It made me want to move to Ireland an find myself a hot Irish guy!

Fruit Pizza Recipe:
1 cup cashews (raw organic)
2 cups coconut flakes
15 dates
3 kiwi
1 mango
15 blueberries
1 thai coconut
1/4 cup raw honey
Directions: Process the cashews and coconut flakes in a food processor until you get a flour like consistency. Process the dates with 1/4 cup of water until fully mixed and then mix the date paste with the cashew coconut flour. Stir together until it is well mixed. Place evenly on the bottom of your pan. Cut open a thai coconut and take out the meat. Process the meat with the honey in a blender and pour it on top of your cashew coconut base. Cut up your fruit however you like and decorate your fruit pizza! Enjoy it!
Congrats on your 30 day trial! I'm also really glad it went so well that you're sticking with it :) The best part is all the experimentation for sure!
