Strawberry Banana Ice Cream Dream...
Lately I have been eating lots of ice cream. I just can't seem to get enough of it! Don't worry I haven't fallen off of the raw bandwagon I have been making my own super duper easy ice cream! Here is a picture of my strawberry banana ice cream! It is simply made with two bananas and six strawberries frozen overnight and then put in the vitamixer until creamy and smooth! Together they are so sweet that I don't add honey or dates to the ice cream, it just doesn't need it. I had seen so many posts on banana ice cream. It only took me three years of being into raw food to actually try it! I highly recommend trying it out for yourself. It is best to have a vitamixer or a blendtec however because I don't think a regular blender could handle it. A food processor might work as well but I don't know for sure.
Anyhow, in other news, i am still teaching yoga. I also now teach Pilate's, kids tennis and kids ballet (for preschool aged children). Slowly I am building up my reputation and supporting myself doing things I enjoy. It has taken a while to build up to this however. This summer I have a fun trip planned to Montreal in July to get certified as an acro yoga instructor. I am very excited about this because acro yoga is a love of mine! While I am in Montreal I plan on checking out the raw food restaurant out there called Crudessence. I have read some awesome reviews of this restaurant and can't wait to try it for myself! On a last note I was recently sent an email from Suzane. Suzane has her own blog and she let me know that she listed my blog as one of the top fifty blogs on raw food. Thanks Suzane! Well, that is all for today. Have a nice day and let me know if you try out the ice cream!
Strawberry Banana Ice Cream Dream:
2 Frozen Bananas
1/4 cup of frozen Strawberries
Directions: Blend in a vitamixer until smooth and creamy. Then devour the ice cream!
Oh yeah, banana ice cream is the best! If you add one avocado per every 3 or 4 bananas, it will stay scoopable when it's frozen(sometimes you have to sweeten it a bit with the avo).
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the top 50!
When I make RAW ice cream, I usually add a tbsp of coconut oil to help it stay firm. Can't wait to try this. I love how simple it is. Yum!
ReplyDeleteyes! banana ice cream is the bomb. except my tummy and frozen foods aren't very good friends :(
ReplyDeleteI love it as a treat though. I'll have to try it with the strawberries like you posted! Usually I just crush up fresh strawberries and pour the strawberry "sauce" atop :)
Ice cream is heavenly! My favorite thing about raw food ice cream is that you CAN eat it every day if you like because it is so good for you. =)
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of your comments on the raw ice cream! I appreciate the tips on experimenting with making it different ways!
