Muscadines are in season right now in Georgia. If you have never had a muscadine they taste like grapes. The only difference is that they have a very thick skin and large seeds in the center. I like to put muscadines in my vitamixer to make juice, this way I don't have to worry about the thick skin or the seeds. Today I tried something I have never tried before. I made a yummy smoothie out of muscadines! If you get a chance pick up some muscadines and try out this recipe!
Muscadine Smoothie
Ingredients: 2 frozen bananas, 1/2 cup of muscadines
Directions: Put the ingredients into the vitamixer and blend until creamy and smooth! You could probably use a blender as well but you may need to add a little bit of water to help it to mix. Cheers!
