This post is a little bit late. I meant to write it a while back, right after my trip to Montreal this summer but I didn't get around to it:-). I was looking through my pictures tonight and wanted to share these from this summer. The food pictures were taken at the restaurant Crudessence in Montreal (the raw food restaurant there). This chocolate pie was so amazing! The other picture is of the lasagna dish and the beet salad. Both were delicious. We actually got the chocolate pie for free because the waitress completely forgot about us! She seated us outside on the patio (it was gorgeous weather by the way!) and after 30 minutes or so I realized we still hadn't gotten our food, so we went inside and she said she did forget about us and gave us a free dessert, which was nice :-). The picture of me is right outside of the China Town in Montreal, which was a fun area.
Reflecting over my summer, I got many chances to see some new and beautiful places. The road trip up to Montreal took me through many of the states on the east coast. My favorite part of this drive was through Virginia, the mountains were beautiful. Montreal was such a beautiful and creative city! They had circus festivals, laughter festivals, street performers, and fire work competitions (different countries compete for this award resulting in the most amazing firework show ever!). After my trip to Montreal I flew out to Seattle for a day (on my way to Maui) and I got to experience this gorgeous city. I felt at home there, everyone was into yoga and being healthy and most people care about keeping the environment clean and as free of pollution as possible. Then, of course Maui was an amazing experience for me. I am lucky to have had such an amazing summer of traveling!
I used to live in Montreal and it's amazing in the fall. I'm going to check out that place next time I go thanks!
