Awesome raw food Sunday!

Wow today has been a long and fun day!! I woke up around 8 a.m. and went to the farmer's market to buy lots of ingredients to create some raw food magic in the kitchen. I bought the ingredients for my lemon pie that I made for my brother for his birthday. The recipe is here. He told me that if I make him two more lemon pies before I leave he will let me use his laptop computer for my summer at kripalu. He said that the lemon pie is his favorite of my desserts so far. So, I made one pie for him and then I made one pie for the raw food potluck here in Atlanta that was this afternoon. I don't have any pictures from the potluck today but I really enjoyed it! A lot of people brought very light salads. My friend Marielies brought chocolate mint truffle candy and I loved them! I really am feeling more connected to the raw food community here in Atlanta and am enjoying it quite a bit! I am sad to leave my friends here in Atlanta! However, I am looking forward to going to Kripalu and learning a great deal and bringing it back to Atlanta to share with my friends here!
After the potluck today, Marielies and I got together and created some more delicious raw food. We made some chocolate mint truffles, chocolate chip cookies (from cafe gratitude's dessert recipe), the jelly berry rolls from raw goodesses blog, strawberry tarts (to make these just use any one of my pie crust recipes, fill the crust into cupcake tins and then fill it in with your choice of berries) and raw vegan sushi! I am so glad to have found a raw foodie friend here in Atlanta to experiment with in the kitchen! She is such an awesome person and we have lots of fun together!
Overall this has been a wonderful weekend and I have had a chance to spend quality time with many of my friends!
