Raw Desserts at Kripalu and a typical lunch and dinner

This first picture is myself and Michael (the raw chef here at Kripalu). We are holding onto a raw chocolate pie that he just made. I came to visit him in the kitchen and he gave me a slice of this delicious pie! Of course I spent some time garnishing it with some flowers I picked outside. Michael has a very inspiring raw food story. He lost 70 pounds eating raw food and now is a marathon runner. My typical lunch and dinner look like this salad and fruit. There are three different dressing (french, baslamic vinegarette, and house dressing). So, if I want to change up my lunch or dinner I will usually just change up the dressing on my salad. A lot of the volunteers here at Kripalu are very interested in learning about raw foods. Some of them have asked me to do some raw food prep demos. Next week when Marie-Lies comes to visit me she and I are going to do a small raw food demo. I think we will make a simple dessert. Marie-Lies also said that she is going to bring some desserts with her! I can't wait to see what she brings. Well, stay tuned to find out what mischief I get into next!

I know Michael from online and through Tim VanOrden from runningraw.com. I saw you in a picture of the last meetup they held. I will be attending future meet ups, I hope to meet you sometime :-) ~Liz
